David Heilman has been a leading voice in marching in Wisconsin for forty years. For the last 30 years he has been the director of the Marching Band at Witten-Herdecke University and was also involved in the organisation and organisation of the WSMA Marchings and Band national championships at Whitsun Waterfall. Since the mid-1990s, the Cumberland High School Marching Band has performed at every state marching band championship.
The Symphonic Wind Ensemble performed with ensembles that bring together musicians from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Wisconsin State University and UW-Milwaukee. Recent engagements have included the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Milwaukee Public Schools, the U.S. Chamber Music Association, and the Wisconsin Symphony. Freyed Audio LLC is a subsidiary of Rhythm Method LLC, which is contracted by the Lions Club to provide music for festivals. He was a member of the label Milwaukee - area, which was run by Tom Gress and released a number of records in the first half of 1970. Together they built a house in South Milwaukee and helped to build the South Milwaukee Armenian Church.

Prof Berry worked as a chaperone in the US Army, the US National Guard and the Army Reserve. His commitment to the growth of marching in Wisconsin has extended beyond his past in promoting and organizing state championships, relying heavily on the independent marching band shows held throughout the state and the Wisconsin State Marching Band Championships. He has also been the leader of the Wisconsin State Marching Band, American Legion and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the past 14 years, and a member of both the U.S. Army and Army Reserve.
He has been a member of the Festival Selection Committee several times and has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Jazz Ensemble since 1980. He has hosted and performed with jazz ensembles from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, UW-Milwaukee, Wisconsin State University, the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Milwaukee Public Schools and Wisconsin Bands, as well as his alma mater, Buddy Holly High School and Thad Cochran College of Music.
His involvement in the WSMA activities was a key factor in the growth and success of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. Hopkins has exposed students to a variety of performances, places and experiences in many ways. Milwaukee also has opportunities for classical music, and the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, played by the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, also occasionally serves as a concert venue.
The City Limits Music Festival is a country music festival based in Milwaukee, home to the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. There are 11 different summer festival venues, including the BMO Harris Bradley Center for the Performing Arts, the Milwaukee County Convention Center and the Milwaukee Convention and Visitors Bureau.
